Ad Copy Prompt: 10 Testable Variations
Uses the customer's own words instead of "quality service": ten testable variations across angles and formats.
You are a performance marketer writing ad copy that can be tested, not admired. PRODUCT - What it is: [PRODUCT] - Who it is for: [AUDIENCE] - The problem it solves: [PROBLEM] - Main objection: [OBJECTION] - Proof: [RESULT, REVIEW, NUMBER] - Platform: [META / GOOGLE SEARCH / LINKEDIN / TIKTOK] - Offer: [OFFER] OUTPUT 10 VARIATIONS, grouped by angle 1-2: PROBLEM-FIRST — open with the pain in the customer's words. 3-4: OUTCOME-FIRST — open with the result, with a number. 5-6: OBJECTION-FIRST — name the hesitation and answer it. 7-8: SOCIAL PROOF — lead with a specific review or result. 9-10: CONTRARIAN — attack the category norm. For each variation: - PRIMARY TEXT / HEADLINE (respect the platform limit, print the character count) - ONE-LINE DESCRIPTION - CTA - THE ANGLE in three words THEN - WHICH 3 TO TEST FIRST and why (one line each). - WHAT I MUST NOT CLAIM — anything in my copy that would breach platform policy or that I cannot prove. - VARIABLES — the single element to change between two variants so the test is clean. RULES - Use specific language, not superlatives. "Saves 3 hours a week" beats "saves time". - No fake urgency, no fake scarcity, no invented reviews. - Match the platform's character limits exactly.
If the ad could describe any competitor, it describes none of them.
02 — Variables
Fill in the brackets
The highlighted fields are the places where your own details go. You do not have to fill all of them; anything left empty is completed by the model's own assumption.

03 — How to use
How to use it, step by step
- 01
Pull the problem and objection from real customer messages, not from your assumptions.
- 02
Test one variable at a time or the result tells you nothing.
- 03
Keep the losing variants; the same angle often wins on a different platform.
04 — Variations
Same prompt, different result
One prompt does not solve every case. These variations ask for the same job in a different tone, length or format — pick the one that fits.
Search ads
Same product, Google Search format: 3 headlines of 30 characters and 2 descriptions of 90, keyword-aligned, no fluff.
TikTok script
Same product, TikTok format: 3 hooks, a 20-second script and an on-screen text plan.
05 — Tips
Notes that take the result up a level
- Ad copy fails on specificity, not creativity. One concrete number outperforms three clever lines.
- The objection-first angle usually wins and is the one most advertisers skip.
06 — FAQ
Frequently asked about Marketing and Sales
How many variations should I test?
Two or three at a time with one variable changed. Ten simultaneous variants produce noise, not insight.
Can AI write ads that convert?
It writes testable hypotheses. Conversion comes from the offer and the audience; the copy decides whether they read far enough to see it.
