Fix 4C / 4E: water inlet fault
4C appears when the machine times out waiting for water. Confirm the tap is open with strong flow and clean the strainer at the tap. Remove and brush the mesh filter in the inlet hose; limescale and sand are the top causes of 4C. On dual-inlet models verify hot and cold taps are connected to the right hoses; a swapped connection also triggers 4C. If the code persists after cleaning, evaluate the inlet valve.
4C and 4E are different renderings of the same fault (C4 on some models). Letter/digit order can vary; the meaning does not.

Fix 5C / 5E / SE: drainage with the pump filter
5C means the machine cannot drain. Open the front-bottom cover, prepare a tray and remove the pump filter; clean out lint, hairpins and coins. Spin the impeller by hand; if it turns freely, refit and run a drain program. Check the drain hose for kinks and height; above ~90 cm the pump strains. If 5C persists with a clean filter, the pump or board needs checking.

UE: you can fix load imbalance correctly
UE is not a defect — the machine detected an unbalanced load during spin; a large rug, one towel or a single garment frequently causes it. Open the door, redistribute laundry, wash big items with smaller ones and restart. If the machine walks during spin, level its feet; a flat floor reduces UE cases. Constant UE suggests weak suspension — a service part.
Practical UE rule: never wash one large item alone. Put small clothes next to towels; the machine finds its balance.

dE / dC: check the door lock
dE appears when the door does not close fully or the lock sends no signal. Reopen and reclose, making sure nothing is caught in the gasket. Press lightly on the door to test locking; loose hinges break closure. If child lock is active, some models show a dE-like warning; disable it with the manual's key combo (usually holding a temperature + key pair). A dead lock means the lock part needs replacing.

Separate 3E, OC/0C and SUD: motor, overflow and foam
3E marks a motor fault; the user step is a power cycle (unplug 10 minutes) — repeats need motor or board checks. OC/0C is overflow or leak detection; close the tap, do not run the machine and find the leak first. SUD/5UD is excessive foam; reduce automatic detergent dosing, avoid non-HE detergent and run one detergent-free rinse to purge.

6E, tE and 9C1: heating, sensor and voltage codes
6E is a water heating fault; try a power cycle and request heater verification if it repeats. tE is the temperature sensor; its connector may have loosened — do not remove the sensor yourself. 9C1 is a low voltage warning; grid dips put the machine into protection, and long extension cords trigger 9C1 — plug directly into a wall socket. On all three, persistent repetition brings Samsung authorized service in.
Never use long extension cords or multi-strips on 9C1; voltage drop both produces the code and risks the board.
