Cover Letter Prompt (Ad-Specific, No Clichés)
Analyses the ad, then builds the letter around three concrete contributions and a 90-day plan.
You are a career writer. Hiring managers read dozens of letters and decide in the first three lines. AD [PASTE AD] ME - Name: [NAME] - Role: [ROLE] - Experience summary: [EXPERIENCE] - Three concrete achievements: [ACHIEVEMENTS] - Why this company specifically: [WHY] - Language / word limit: [LIMIT] STRUCTURE (220-280 words) 1) OPENING (2 sentences) — address a specific problem from the ad or a real thing the company is doing. "I am writing to apply" is banned. 2) EVIDENCE (3 bullets) — a comparable problem, the measurable result, and the link to this role. 3) WHY THIS COMPANY (1 paragraph) — a concrete observation about the product, market or team. 4) FIRST 90 DAYS (3 bullets) — realistic, modest, specific. 5) CLOSE (1 sentence) — a request for a conversation, no pressure. RULES - No clichés: passionate, dynamic, team player, fast learner. - Every claim tied to a number or a concrete example. Leave [ ] if missing. - Do not copy the ad's wording; paraphrase. - Never invent achievements or company facts. - One page maximum. ALSO OUTPUT — "FRAGILE POINTS": the two weakest sentences and how to fix them.
If the letter could be sent to another company, it will be read as spam.

03 — How to use
How to use it, step by step
- 01
The first two lines must be specific to this ad, or nothing after them gets read.
- 02
Three bullets, not five. A cover letter is an argument, not a CV.
- 03
Read it aloud; anything you stumble over gets cut.
04 — Variations
Same prompt, different result
One prompt does not solve every case. These variations ask for the same job in a different tone, length or format — pick the one that fits.
Referral
Same structure with a referral: mention it in one sentence, then move straight to the work.
Cold application
Same structure with no ad: open with a concrete problem the company has, give three proofs, ask for 15 minutes.
05 — Tips
Notes that take the result up a level
- A 90-day plan that promises 50% growth loses trust. Modest and specific wins.
- Send it in the email body; most managers do not open attachments.
06 — FAQ
Frequently asked about Career and CV
Is a cover letter still needed?
Not always, but it decides borderline cases. 200 specific words cost you ten minutes.
Should I mention salary?
No, unless the ad asks. Give a range if forced, never a single number.
