STEP 01
Sign in on the official deletion page
Open accounts.snapchat.com/accounts/delete_account in a browser and sign in with your username/email and password. This is Snapchat's official deletion link; avoid third-party pages.
STEP 02
Verify your identity
Snapchat asks for your username (sometimes a verification code). Enter the details and continue. This page is the only official way to delete; it works from both web and mobile browsers.
STEP 03
Confirm the deletion
Re-enter your username/password and tap 'Delete Account' / 'Continue'. Your account is deactivated immediately: friends cannot find you and you go invisible.
STEP 04
Know the 30-day window
The account stays deactivated for 30 days. Logging in during that period restores it; otherwise friends list, Snaps and account info are permanently deleted at the end — no recovery.
STEP 05
Deleting from iOS
In the Snapchat app on iPhone: profile > Settings (gear) > Account Actions > Delete Account; you are routed to the same official flow. On Android, use the web link.
