STEP 01
Sign in to My Viettel
Open the My Viettel app and verify with the OTP sent to your number. Open the 'Dịch vụ' (Services) tab on the home screen.
STEP 02
Cancel the package in the app
Find the active package and tap 'Hủy' (Cancel), then confirm. Auto-renewal stops immediately — the package keeps running until the end of its period.
STEP 03
Quick cancel via USSD
Open the dialer and dial *098; choose the package cancellation (hủy gói) option in the menu. A confirmation SMS arrives; the command is free.
STEP 04
Visit a store to close the number
Go to a Viettel store (Showroom) with the owner's CCCD ID and request 'hủy số'. You receive a written request record — keep it.
STEP 05
If you want to keep the number
To avoid losing the number, make a minimal maintenance top-up, or start an MNP request with the new operator: SMS TC <number> to 188; when the port completes the Viettel line closes.
