You can cancel JioFiber in the MyJio app under JioFiber > Manage Subscription, by calling 199, or by emailing care@jio.com. Mobile lines have no contract — the line closes when the last recharge expires. You must return the router via scheduled pickup.

STEP 01
Sign in to MyJio
Open the MyJio app and verify with the OTP sent to your Jio number. If you have JioFiber, switch to the JioFiber tab at the bottom.
STEP 02
Open Manage Subscription
Under JioFiber, find 'Manage Subscription' > 'Deactivate'. The app asks for a reason and shows the cut-off date.
STEP 03
Call 199 for mobile lines
To close a Jio mobile number, call 199 from your Jio number or open MyJio > Help & Support > Chat and type 'I want to deactivate my number'. ID registered to the owner is required.
STEP 04
Clear any outstanding balance
Pay the remaining amount under MyJio > Recharge/Bill. Cancellation requests are not processed while a balance is pending.
STEP 05
Schedule the router return
Jio books a courier pickup for the fiber ONT router and TV set-top box. Keep the confirmation SMS and reference — unreturned devices are charged against your deposit.

- If you only want a cheaper plan, use 'Change Plan' instead of Deactivate — you continue without an interruption.
- Prorated refunds for unused JioFiber days land in your MyJio wallet within 7-10 business days.
- Keep the router box and adapters — missing accessories are the number-one cause of deposit deductions.

Does cancelling a Jio mobile line cost anything?
No — Jio prepaid has no contract, the plan simply expires. For JioFiber the remaining period is billed, with no extra cancellation fee.
What if I am porting my number to another operator?
Start an MNP request with the new operator: SMS PORT <number> to 1900. The Jio line closes automatically on port-out — no separate cancellation needed.
I did not receive a cancellation confirmation — what now?
If no confirmation SMS arrives within 48 hours, call 1800-896-9999 or raise it in MyJio > Help & Support > Chat with your request reference.
