STEP 01
Check your commitment type
On account.adobe.com/plans, find the commitment label under your plan: 'Monthly', 'Annual, paid monthly' or 'Annual, prepaid'. The early termination rule depends on this label; take a screenshot.
STEP 02
Download your cloud files
After cancellation, Creative Cloud storage drops to 2 GB and access may close after 100 days. Go to assets.adobe.com and download projects, Lightroom libraries and libraries to local disk.
STEP 03
Cancel the plan
Click 'Manage plan' > 'Cancel your plan'. Adobe asks for a reason and may offer discounts or plan changes; continuing shows the cancellation terms and any early termination fee.
STEP 04
Review the termination fee
On annual commitments, cancelling after day 14 may charge 50% of remaining months; the amount is shown clearly on the confirmation screen. Monthly plans have no early fee and end at period close. Annual prepaid refunds are partial, usage- and policy-dependent.
STEP 05
Clean up apps and sessions
After the confirmation, sign out from the Creative Cloud desktop app; optionally use the Creative Cleaner Tool for leftovers. Keep the confirmation email.

How does the 14-day refund work?
For newly purchased plans, cancelling within 14 days of purchase grants a full refund. The refund option must appear in the cancellation flow; if it does not, write to Adobe support.
I only want to pause Photoshop — is that possible?
In some regions Adobe offers 1-3 month pauses on annual commitments; if you see 'Pause plan' instead of cancel, use it. Monthly plans have no pause — cancel and resubscribe instead.
