STEP 01
Own servers? Transfer them first
For servers you own, transfer ownership in Server Settings > Members or delete the server. Accounts owning servers get blocked from deletion until ownership is resolved.
STEP 02
Open User Settings > My Account
In the desktop or mobile app, click the gear icon at the bottom left. On 'My Account' you'll find the edit/remove options above your email and phone fields.
STEP 03
Confirm 'Remove Account'
Click 'Remove Account'; your password (and 2FA code if enabled) is requested. Confirm on the screen that explains the deletion.
If you can't receive SMS/2FA codes, disable 2FA first or prepare backup codes — otherwise the flow can't finish.
STEP 04
Understand the 14-day window
After the request, the account enters 'pending deletion'. Logging in during those 14 days restores it; otherwise username, messages and data are permanently removed at the end.
STEP 05
Alternative: temporary disable
On the same screen choose 'Disable Account' instead to hide the account without deleting anything — you can return anytime by logging in.
Tipps
- Back up important DMs and files before deletion — there's no undo.
- Nitro doesn't auto-renew after deletion; deleting before the billing date avoids charges.
- Bots owned by others are unaffected; only owned servers require transfer.

Your username shows as 'Deleted User' and profile data is removed; message text may remain anonymized on servers — full deletion isn't guaranteed.
What if I change my mind within 14 days?

My account was hacked — should I delete it?
First change your password, enable 2FA, log out all devices and contact support. Deletion also deletes your data; treat it as a last resort.
